Step-by-step calculators
These show numbered working for the exact numbers you type, the formula, a worked example and a practice question. The inputs stay in the page address, so a teacher can share an example as a link.
How the calculators are built
The step-by-step calculators share one math engine that produces the answer and the working from the same numbers, and it is covered by unit tests. Fractions stay exact, rounding is only applied for display, and where a method has more than one convention (quartiles, percentiles, sample or population) the page says which one it uses.
