About CalcWorld
CalcWorld is a set of math, statistics, geometry and science calculators for students. The main ones give the answer first and then show how to get there, so you can check your own working instead of only copying a number.
The site is organised by subject, the way a textbook is. The calculators for percentages, fractions, algebra and statistics show numbered steps for the exact numbers you typed, plus the formula, a worked example and a practice question.
Who it is for
- Students checking homework, often on a phone.
- Teachers who want an example to project or an answer key to check. Every step-by-step calculator keeps its inputs in the page address, so an example can be shared as a link.
- Anyone with a one-off percentage, fraction or geometry question.
What you will find here
- Arithmetic — Percentages, fractions, long division, roots, factors and ratios.
- Algebra — Quadratics, slope, exponents, sequences and vectors.
- Geometry — Triangles, circles, polygons, area and volume.
- Statistics — Standard deviation, variance, quartiles, percentiles, regression and counting.
- Number systems — Binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal conversions.
- Science — Physics and chemistry: force, waves, motion, mass and stoichiometry.
- Finance — Depreciation, annuities, mortgages, salary and growth.
How the tools work
Every tool runs in your browser. What you type stays on your device; see how we calculate for the formulas and data behind the results and the editorial policy for how pages are written and updated.
