Worked example

Enter 10, 20, 30, 40 and the tool displays the full equation, not just the answer:

10 + 20 + 30 + 40 = 100

It also handles decimals cleanly: entering 1.5, 2.25, 3 displays "1.5 + 2.25 + 3 = 6.75" — trailing zeros are stripped, so 3.00 shows as 3, not 3.0.

How invalid entries are handled

Any comma-separated token that doesn't parse as a number is silently treated as zero rather than throwing an error — so 10, abc, 20 computes as 10 + 0 + 20 = 30, with "abc" contributing nothing. This is a permissive design choice: it won't stop you with a validation error, but it also means a typo in your number list won't be flagged, only silently zeroed out. Double-check your input list if the sum looks lower than expected.

What it's actually built for

This is a one-shot addition tool for a flat list of numbers — it doesn't support subtraction, running totals, or column-based entry the way a spreadsheet would. For anything beyond "add up this list," a full calculator or spreadsheet cell is the better tool.
